We are now accepting candidates for the following positions:

California Licensed Professional Engineer

Typical Duties Include:

 

Report writing and synthesis, conducting slope stability, liquefaction, and seismic hazard analyses, performing engineering calculations (ex. pile, retaining wall, shoring, and tieback designs, etc.), use Rocscience programs (i.e. Slide2, SWedge, Dips), mapping, drafting, performing subsurface investigations and field work as needed.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • California Licensed Civil Engineer

  • B.S. or M.S. in related field

  • 3 years of experience

  • Experience with geotechnical engineering, preferably in the Greater Los Angeles area

  • Thorough understanding of engineering and engineering geology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and current engineering programs  

  • Ability to work in the office or in the field as needed

  • Ability to lift, move, and carry field equipment and sample containers

  • Efficient and effective communicator and listener

  • Willing to learn

  • Team player

California Licensed Professional Geologist

Typical Duties Include:

 

Report writing and synthesis, conduct subsurface investigations (ex. drilling, test pits, trenching, CPT's), prepare geologic interpretations, collect geologic structural measurements, use Rocscience programs (i.e. Slide2, SWedge, Dips), perform geologic mapping, drafting, and perform basic site inspections.

 

Minimum Requirements:

 

  • California Licensed Geologist or Engineering Geologist

  • B.S. or M.S. in related field

  • 3 years of experience

  • Experience with geotechnical engineering, preferably in the Greater Los Angeles area

  • Thorough understanding of geology and engineering geology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and current Engineering programs  

  • Ability to work in the office or in the field as needed

  • Ability to lift, move, and carry field equipment and sample containers

  • Efficient and effective communicator and listener

  • Willing to learn

  • Team player

Staff Geologist

Typical Duties Include:

 

Conduct subsurface investigations (ex. drilling, test pits, trenching, CPT's), conduct research reviews, write proposals and contracts, prepare reports, prepare geologic interpretations, collect geologic structural measurements, geologic mapping, drafting, and perform basic site inspections. Experience with Rocscience programs (i.e. Slide2, SWedge, Dips) is a plus, but not required. 

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • B.S. in related field

  • 1 – 3 years of related experience

  • Thorough understanding of geology

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel 

  • Ability to work in the office or in the field as needed

  • Ability to lift, move, and carry field equipment and sample containers

  • Efficient and effective communicator and listener

  • Willing to learn

  • Team player

 

City of LA Registered Deputy Grading Inspector / Field Technician

Typical Duties Include:

 

Perform site inspections during the construction phase of development, observing and inspecting the drilling of shoring and foundation piles, tieback anchor testing, and foundation excavations, observe haul routes, perform field compaction testing, travel to and from job sites, coordinate with project superintendents/managers, maintain consistent and accurate records.  

Minimum Requirements:

  • Current City of Los Angeles Registered Deputy Grading Inspector

  • B.S. in related field

  • 1 – 3 years of experience

  • Experience with construction in the Greater Los Angeles area

  • Very basic understanding of geology and engineering

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel

  • Ability to work in the field as needed

  • Ability to lift, move, and carry field equipment and sample containers

  • Efficient and effective communicator and listener

  • Willing to learn

  • Team player
